Discover the park’s collection – the largest and most diverse you can see in Europe!
It includes over 60 species listed in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. The park actively participates in several exemplary conservation programs, including the Bearded Vulture, Europe’s most endangered vulture.

The medieval town of Pérouges is ranked among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, making it one of the top tourist destinations in the department. Originally a town of weavers, its double ring of ramparts disappeared in the 18th century.

Golfs

Just one hour from Lyon and Geneva, the Dombes region is also a paradise for golfers, with no fewer than six 18-hole golf courses. The closest, Golf de la Bresse, is only 5 km away.

In January, you can attend the annual sled dog competition at the Cuvery pass (Retord Plateau) and if there is no snow, you can enjoy a magnificent walk: have lunch at the Retord Farm and enjoy an incredible view of the Alps.
2,222 km of freedom. Mountain passes that make your calves ache, greenways that glide smoothly beneath your wheels, the ViaRhôna that runs alongside the river, and the Voie Bleue that brings a smile to your face.
